In 1982 the State of NJ approached the owners of this organization and asked them to consider opening a program for medically fragile children. Since that time, Voorhees Pediatric Facility has grown into a nationally recognized pediatric specialty care center that offers 119 in-patient beds and the largest freestanding pediatric ventilator program in the country.
VPF has set new standards for skilled nursing and rehabilitative care along with the state-of-the-art respiratory care program, and it has continued to be recognized by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) as a leader in pediatric healthcare. This year VPF received the highest accreditation awarded by JCAHO.
In addition, VPF is also home to The Bancroft School at Voorhees Pediatric Facility, an on-site private school for medically fragile and technology dependent children; Voorhees Pediatric Medical Daycare; and Voorhees Pediatric Rehabilitation Services (VPRS), a subcontracting agency offering rehabilitative and medical services to a variety of community settings.
Our Mission
We dedicate ourselves to helping children who are medically fragile and technology dependent. Whether due to congenital anomalies, prematurity, post trauma, respiratory disorders, or other conditions, we help them reach their full potential by care, (re)habilitation, advocacy, wholism, and education. Voorhees Pediatric Facility provides comprehensive specialized healthcare and continues to set new stands of excellence in skilled, sub-acute, pediatric nursing, and (re)habilitative services.
