In order to provide the best care for children, we have a staff-to-child ratio of 1:3.

Will you be able to accommodate special diets?
We employ a dietitian who will, if needed, provide nutritional support to meet a child’s dietary needs.

VPF

What are the ages of the children at VPF?
We have children in our program from birth to twenty-one years of age.

Is my child entitled to special education services?
Yes. Where they receive those services is determined by the child study team (which includes parents, school district child study team case worker, social worker, learning consultant, speech therapist and psychologist). Educational options include The Bancroft School at VPF, public or special education community schools.

Who pays for their stay in the VPF program?
We have contracts with all major managed care providers.  If the family has commercial insurance benefits then the commercial insurance is primary. Medicaid is a payor of last resort. We have children in our program with NJ Medicaid; however that is secondary. We also work with out-of-state Medicaid programs.
